Ingredients:
- 4 thick slices Brioche bread (approx. 2.5cm thick)
- 2 large eggs
- 80ml whole milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 1 pinch sea salt
- 2 sprays neutral oil spray
Instructions:
- Slice the brioche into three even sticks from each 2.5cm thick slice. Preheat your air fryer to 180°C (356°F).
- In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, sea salt, and 1 tablespoon of maple syrup until cohesive.
- Dip each brioche stick into the egg custard for approximately 3 seconds per side. Do not over-soak to maintain structural integrity.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with oil. Arrange the sticks in a single layer without touching. Spray the tops of the sticks lightly with oil.
- Air fry at 180°C (356°F) for 4 minutes. Use tongs to flip the sticks for even browning, and continue to air fry at 180°C (356°F) for another 3 to 4 minutes until deep golden and crackling.
- Remove from air fryer and serve immediately with a dusting of powdered sugar and additional maple syrup.
