Ingredients:
- 1.5 lbs cod fillets
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a 9x13 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- Use paper towels to pat each cod fillet completely dry on all sides, then season evenly with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted unsalted butter, minced garlic, and lemon juice until emulsified.
- Place the seasoned fillets in the prepared baking dish and pour the lemon butter sauce evenly over each piece, coating the sides.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until the sauce is bubbling and the cod is opaque and flakes easily with a fork (internal temperature of 145°F).
