Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lbs cod fillets
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a 9x13 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Use paper towels to pat each cod fillet completely dry on all sides, then season evenly with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted unsalted butter, minced garlic, and lemon juice until emulsified.
  4. Place the seasoned fillets in the prepared baking dish and pour the lemon butter sauce evenly over each piece, coating the sides.
  5. Bake for 12–15 minutes until the sauce is bubbling and the cod is opaque and flakes easily with a fork (internal temperature of 145°F).
