Ingredients:

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup dark brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tbsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions:

  1. In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, combine the dark brown sugar, sea salt, and half of the milk (1/2 cup).
  2. Whisk constantly for 3-4 minutes until the sugar is completely dissolved and no visible grains remain on the back of a spoon.
  3. Reduce the heat to low and pour in the remaining 1/2 cup of milk and the 1 cup of heavy cream.
  4. Continue to whisk for another 3-5 minutes until the mixture is fully emulsified and heated through, ensuring it does not reach a boil.
  5. Remove from heat. Stir in the pure vanilla extract and ground cinnamon. Strain through a fine-mesh strainer into a glass jar for a perfectly smooth finish.
