Ingredients:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 3/4 cup dark brown sugar, packed
- 1 tbsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions:
- In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, combine the dark brown sugar, sea salt, and half of the milk (1/2 cup).
- Whisk constantly for 3-4 minutes until the sugar is completely dissolved and no visible grains remain on the back of a spoon.
- Reduce the heat to low and pour in the remaining 1/2 cup of milk and the 1 cup of heavy cream.
- Continue to whisk for another 3-5 minutes until the mixture is fully emulsified and heated through, ensuring it does not reach a boil.
- Remove from heat. Stir in the pure vanilla extract and ground cinnamon. Strain through a fine-mesh strainer into a glass jar for a perfectly smooth finish.
