Ingredients:

  • 2 shots (60ml) espresso or strong coffee
  • 1 tbsp (15g) dark brown sugar
  • 1 pinch ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp (1.25ml) vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (240ml) whole milk

Instructions:

  1. Brew two shots of espresso or 1/2 cup of strong moka pot coffee directly into a 12oz heat-safe mug.
  2. While the coffee is hot, stir in the dark brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract until the sugar crystals are fully dissolved.
  3. Heat the milk in a small saucepan or microwave until it reaches 150°F (65°C); it should be hot to the touch but not boiling.
  4. Submerge a handheld milk frother at a slight angle just below the surface of the milk and froth until the volume has nearly doubled into a silky micro-foam.
  5. Slowly pour the frothed milk over the sweetened espresso base and serve immediately.
