Ingredients:

  • 1 lb chicken breast tenders
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 1/2 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • cooking oil spray

Instructions:

  1. Pat the chicken tenders completely dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Prepare a dredging station with three bowls: one with flour mixed with garlic powder, paprika, and onion powder; one with beaten eggs and water; and one with Panko breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan.
  3. Dip each tender into the seasoned flour, shaking off any excess.
  4. Submerge the floured chicken into the egg wash until fully coated.
  5. Press the chicken firmly into the Panko and Parmesan mixture, ensuring a thick, even layer on all sides.
  6. Arrange the tenders in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
  7. Lightly spray the tops of the tenders with cooking oil spray.
  8. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
  9. Flip the tenders, spray the other side with oil, and cook for another 5 minutes until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  10. Transfer tenders to a wire rack and let rest for 2-3 minutes to set the crust.
