Ingredients:

  • 4 Tilapia Fillets (approx. 6 oz each)
  • 1/2 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 large Egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp Smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp Kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black pepper
  • 2 tbsp Unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 Lemon, juiced

Instructions:

  1. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Use paper towels to pat the tilapia fillets completely dry on both sides to ensure maximum crispiness.
  2. Set up a dredging station with three shallow bowls: Bowl 1 with flour; Bowl 2 with the beaten egg; Bowl 3 with Panko breadcrumbs mixed with 1 tsp Smoked paprika, 1/2 tsp Onion powder, 1/2 tsp Kosher salt, and 1/4 tsp Black pepper.
  3. Dredge each fillet first in the flour, then dip into the egg wash, and finally press into the Panko breadcrumbs until fully coated.
  4. Place fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Lightly spray with oil if desired. Cook at 400°F for 10 minutes until the exterior is golden brown and fish flakes easily with a fork. Do not flip the fish unless your air fryer has a bottom heating element.
  5. While the fish cooks, whisk together melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and lemon juice.
  6. Drizzle the garlic butter over the hot fillets immediately before serving.
