Ingredients:
- 1 Large Egg
- 3 tbsp Whole Milk
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/4 tsp Ground Cinnamon
- 1 tsp Granulated Sugar
- 1 pinch Sea Salt
- 2 slices Brioche bread, 1-inch thick
- 1 tbsp Unsalted Butter
Instructions:
- In a shallow, wide-bottomed bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, sugar, and salt for about 30 seconds until no egg white streaks remain.
- Place the brioche slices into the custard and soak for 45–60 seconds per side until the bread is heavy and soft but still intact.
- Melt the butter in a small non-stick skillet or cast-iron pan over medium-low heat until it begins to bubble.
- Place the soaked bread in the skillet and cook undisturbed for 3–4 minutes until the bottom is deeply golden brown.
- Flip the bread and cook for an additional 2–3 minutes until the second side is browned and the center is set.
