Ingredients:

  • 1 lb frozen whole strawberries (unsweetened)
  • 4 oz Silver (Blanco) Tequila (100% Agave)
  • 2 oz fresh-squeezed lime juice
  • 1.5 oz agave nectar
  • 1 oz fresh orange juice
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 2 tbsp coarse sea salt or sparkly sanding sugar
  • 1 tsp lime zest
  • 2 fresh strawberries, slotted
  • 2 lime wheels

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the architecture by running a lime wedge around the rim of two chilled glasses. Dip the rims into a mixture of coarse salt or sugar and lime zest. Place the glasses back in the freezer to keep them cold.
  2. Add the liquid ingredients to the blender first: tequila, fresh lime juice, agave nectar, and orange juice. This prevents cavitation during the blending process.
  3. Add the 1 lb of frozen strawberries and 1 cup of ice cubes on top of the liquid base.
  4. Blend on high speed until the mixture reaches a smooth, velvety consistency with a shattering-cold texture.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared chilled glasses and garnish with a fresh strawberry and lime wheel.
