Ingredients:
- 1 lb frozen whole strawberries (unsweetened)
- 4 oz Silver (Blanco) Tequila (100% Agave)
- 2 oz fresh-squeezed lime juice
- 1.5 oz agave nectar
- 1 oz fresh orange juice
- 1 cup ice cubes
- 2 tbsp coarse sea salt or sparkly sanding sugar
- 1 tsp lime zest
- 2 fresh strawberries, slotted
- 2 lime wheels
Instructions:
- Prepare the architecture by running a lime wedge around the rim of two chilled glasses. Dip the rims into a mixture of coarse salt or sugar and lime zest. Place the glasses back in the freezer to keep them cold.
- Add the liquid ingredients to the blender first: tequila, fresh lime juice, agave nectar, and orange juice. This prevents cavitation during the blending process.
- Add the 1 lb of frozen strawberries and 1 cup of ice cubes on top of the liquid base.
- Blend on high speed until the mixture reaches a smooth, velvety consistency with a shattering-cold texture.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared chilled glasses and garnish with a fresh strawberry and lime wheel.
