Ingredients:
- 1 lb sourdough pizza dough, room temperature
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 0.5 tsp garlic powder
- 0.5 cup San Marzano tomato sauce
- 6 oz fresh mozzarella pearls, patted dry
- 0.25 cup cup-and-char pepperoni
- 2 tbsp hot honey
- 5 leaves fresh basil
- 0.25 tsp red pepper flakes
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) with the rack in the lower third.
- Divide the 1 lb sourdough dough into 6 equal portions for individual mini pizzas.
- Stretch each portion into an oval on parchment paper.
- Use shears to snip a V at the top and pinch the bottom into a point until a clear heart shape forms.
- Brush the edges with 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil mixed with garlic powder and oregano.
- Spread 0.5 cup San Marzano sauce thinly, leaving a border for the crust.
- Top with 6 oz mozzarella pearls and 0.25 cup pepperoni.
- Bake for 12 minutes until the cheese is bubbling and the edges are charred.
- Drizzle 2 tbsp hot honey over the molten surface immediately after removing from the heat.
- Garnish with 5 torn basil leaves and 0.25 tsp red pepper flakes until the aroma is bright and peppery.
