Ingredients:
- 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved lengthwise
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
Instructions:
- Wash the Brussels sprouts and pat them completely dry. Cut off the woody stem end and slice each sprout in half lengthwise.
- In a large bowl, combine the halved sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Toss vigorously until every leaf is glistening.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Arrange the sprouts in a single layer, cut-side down, ensuring at least half an inch of space between each sprout.
- Roast on the center rack for 20–25 minutes until the sprouts smell nutty and the bottom surfaces are a deep, mahogany brown.
