Ingredients:
- 1 lb lean ground beef (90/10 ratio)
- 1/3 cup Panko breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 0.5 packet onion soup mix
- 0.5 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
- 2 cups low-sodium beef broth
- 8 oz cremini mushrooms, thinly sliced
- 1 small yellow onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, panko, egg, Worcestershire sauce, and the onion soup mix. Gently incorporate without overworking. Shape into 4 oval patties, about 3/4-inch thick. Use your thumb to make a slight indent in the center to prevent doming.
- Heat the avocado oil in a large heavy-bottomed skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Place the patties in the pan and sear until a deep mahogany crust forms on both sides.
