Ingredients
  

  • 1 Medium Apple Granny Smith or Honeycrisp, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Oats Quick or rolled
  • 1 tbsp Flour All-purpose or almond for gluten-free
  • 1 tbsp Brown Sugar Or maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp Butter Or coconut oil for vegan
  • 1 pinch Cinnamon Optional: add nutmeg too
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice Optional – to prevent browning

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F or grab a microwave-safe mug if using microwave.
  • Chop the apple into small bite-sized pieces. Peel it if you prefer.
  • Toss the chopped apple with lemon juice (optional).
  • In a bowl, mix oats, flour, sugar, butter, and cinnamon until crumbly.
  • Layer the apple pieces into a ramekin or mug, and sprinkle the topping on.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes (oven) or microwave for 2–3 minutes (note: topping will be softer).
  • Let it cool for 5 minutes before digging in. Enjoy warm!

Notes

  • For a crispy topping after microwaving, broil for 1–2 minutes.
  • Use coconut oil + almond milk for a vegan version.
